We are a Swiss Army knife for your files
Transloadit is a service for companies with developers. We handle file uploads and media processing for them. This way they can save on development-time and heavy machinery that’s required to handle big volumes in an automated way.
We pioneered with this concept in 2009 and have made our customers happy ever since. We’re still actively improving our service in 2018, as well as our open source projects uppy.io and tus.io, that are changing how the world does file uploading.
Downmix multiple audio streams into one
Transloadit can downmix an audio file with multiple audio tracks. Let's say you have a lossless Apple ProRes file that has up to 12 separate audio tracks that need to be merged.
If we wanted to create a 5.1 file, down from 12 (or any number of) audio streams in a file - it would be hard to determine which is left-front, right-front, center, left-rear, right-rear, and bass. It would be possible if you were to create an HTML form where your users lay out the desired destinations. We could then use the information in that form along with Assembly Variables combined with more advanced FFmpeg settings to apply that kind of control.
But for the sake of simplicity however, let's look at some typical many-to-1 (5.1 to mono) channel audio downmixing.
We will be using it along with the
