Claude 3.5 Sonnet

Anthropic has recently released its first model of the 3.5 family – Claude 3.5 Sonnet. The model aims to be a direct competitor to the recent release of OpenAI's GPT-4o, and from the benchmarks provided it appears to be a heavy hitter in the multi-modal space. ExtensionTotal - check your extensions for malware

Our final external article of July's newsletter is a cyber security PSA. Recently, a team of researchers managed to infect over one hundred organizations with a malicious VS Code extension that was posing as the popular VS Code theme Dracula. Thankfully, the research team did not have malicious intent, but instead accomplished to highlight just how easy it is to infect user's machines for someone who does have malintent. As such, the research team has released a free tool called ExtensionTotal (inspired by VirusTotal), so you can check your extensions for suspicious activity. Check it out ›
