We are happy to announce the immediate availability of our new /sftp/import robot. As the name implies it allows you to import files from your own server directly into Transloadit. There is a little bit of upfront installation work that you have to do to allow the Transloadit servers to SSH into your server. It's not very much, though, and in fact if you have used the /sftp/store robot before, then you are already good to go.

The /sftp/import Robot comes with a powerful filter mechanism to determine which files to include and which to exclude. We have put up extensive documentation about it here that explains the ins and outs of it.

While the robot passes all its automated tests, it still lacks a little bit real life production testing by customers. Due to that, we have flagged it as beta for now.
