# Update for using /youtube/store Robot with new API

This is just a quick heads up for everybody who uses the[/youtube/store](/docs/robots/youtube-store.md) Robot. Google slightly changed their API and as a result it is no longer possible for accounts to use the Robot with their YouTube username and password.

Instead, you will now need to enable 2-step verification and use an application specific password for the Robot's `password` parameter. For the Robot's `username` parameter, please use the email address of your Google account instead of your YouTube username.

We made all the necessary changes on our end to accommodate the new API requirements.
