Addressing the S3 incident with fixes and discounts
Yesterday afternoon, we unfortunately had an incident that lasted for approximately 90 minutes. This incident was caused by a bug that we placed into the system ourselves.
Introducing Tus 1.0 for reliable resumable uploads
It has been a while since we mentioned tus, but there have been some cool developments and we would like to refresh your memory.
Switching to official S3 CLI for enhanced file exporting
Since we started in 2009, Amazon S3 has been our primary way of doing file exports. At that time, the best Amazon CLI tool we could find was Tim Kay's aws utility. It was a low-dependency, fully-featured toolkit to do much of our AWS heavy lifting.

Launching official Go SDK for enhanced integration
Today, our team is excited to announce the launch of the official Transloadit Go SDK. If you are not familiar with Go, it is a really powerful open source language that is growing fast. Even though our API is written in Node.js, we have been happily using Go internally for scaling and system utilities. We are, therefore, always looking for more ways to leverage the power of this fun language.
Enhancing jQuery SDK with tests and a critical patch
Unfortunately, we've been having a few problems with our jQuery SDK these past two days. We are very sorry about that and sadly, we don't really have a better explanation to give other than human (i.e. my) failure. Fortunately, only a small subset of customers was affected (only those who were running jQuery SDK 2.6.1 in combination with our /file/filter Robot), but still, this is not on par with the quality you have come to expect from us.
Enhanced PNG optimization with Pngquant integration
A few customers have mentioned that our PNG optimization is sub-par. Even though we were already able to cut down the size of large PNGs by a factor of eight, these customers reported that dedicated services like TinyPNG and kraken.io were giving even better results, especially for smaller images.
