Today, we are introducing the new /digitalocean/store Robot, which allows you to export your Assembly results to DigitalOcean's Spaces Object Storage. This adds another option to the list of file exporting providers we already support, like Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud Files and Dropbox. Check out the full list in our docs.

We are excited to announce that we have released version 2.0.0 of our Zapier integration! The spectacular thing about this new update is that you can now create Assemblies with multiple (as many as you need) files.

In other words, black.

In our Re-loadit series, we give a belated introduction to some of Transloadit's less-covered features by showcasing what they are capable of and giving you some useful tips on how to get them up and running. It has been a couple of months since our last addition to this series, so let's pick up where we left off by shining the spotlight on the /document/convert Robot!

I was recently approached by food delivery giant Deliveroo, who asked me if it was possible with Transloadit to monitor a folder in their Google Drive and automatically “burn” a logo into newly added files. I was happy to report that with our Zapier integration, you can do this, and I showed them all the steps involved.

It has been a while since the /image/facedetect Robot has made an appearance in a blog. And what better time to talk about it than with its latest iteration, the faces parameter.

At Transloadit, we make sure that when our customers provide Assembly Instructions, they will continue to work and produce the same results for years on end. We are happy to announce that we are partnering with GitHub Education to offer our Startup Plan, worth $49/month, for free to students enrolled in the GitHub Student Developer Pack. The new generation of inventions has brought about the rise of no-code software, which offers users the ease of building MVPs and such — all without writing a single line of code. One platform that allows you to do this is Bubble and we have just created a plugin for it. In this installment of "Let's Build", we'll show how you can use this plugin in combination with our own nifty Robots to add uploading and processing capablities to your website.

On Thursday June 20, 2019, our support captain raised a red alert when a vulnerability was reported that a Transloadit server could be rooted. This is the maximum amount of privilege possible on a machine and a security’s engineer’s/technical startup founder’s worst nightmare.

Recently, I showcased the /video/merge Robot by giving an example use case in which video and sound are merged together, aided by the audio_delay parameter. I've now decided to present a more in-depth tutorial, pairing the same Robot together with some of the other powerful Robots available at Transloadit.

And of course, many programmers can attribute their success and experience to the internet. But if there's one creative force on the web that has exploded in popularity - it's memes. Cue our state-of-the-meme-art Einstein quote generator, made with React and using Robodog.

Today, after three years of development, we are launching version 1.0 of Uppy, our file uploader for web browsers.

If you have ever come across the documentation for the /upload/handle and /image/resize Robots, you may have seen the output_meta parameter. You may then also have wondered what exactly it does. After all, unlike with most other parameters, its use might not be immediately clear from the name alone :)

One of the more unique tools available to the /video/merge Robot is its audio_delay parameter, which allows you to pause your audio for a defined amount of seconds. At first, adding an audio delay to a video may seem like a very specific use case. A quick search online for the term "audio delay" will give you pages of information on how to fix audio delay, rather than intentionally create it. However, after playing around with the /video/merge Robot for a little while, I quickly found one nifty use for the parameter that I want to share with you today 😄

We are changing Transloadit's legal entity from a British "Ltd" to a German "GmbH". Both are a type of Private Limited Liability Company, and you won't notice any changes on the operational side. Bank statements and tax numbers will change, however. If you have signed contracts with us, you may want to sign updated versions featuring our new name. Please reach out if that is the case.

A watermark can go a long way. Whether it's for advertising your brand, protecting your content — or both — a watermark is something any video creator should take into consideration. Unfortunately, these watermarks aren't always pretty. Covering parts of your video with a static image can be intrusive at best and unacceptable at worst. Luckily, here at Transloadit, we have been working to remedy this 😄
