# Automatically rename images based on text found within them

[🤖/image/ocr](/docs/robots/image-ocr.md) makes it simple to extract text from images, which we can then pipe to our other Robots. This demo shows how you can extract text from an image, then, using our [Assembly Variable](/docs/topics/assembly-instructions.md#assembly-variables) functionality, rename that same image based on the previously extracted text.

This specific example uses images that contain single-worded street signs. If you were to replicate this demo using an image containing multiple strings, you might end up with an undesirably long file name.

The main functionality of this demo comes from [🤖/image/ocr](/docs/robots/image-ocr.md) ability to store results as metadata. This metadata is saved to your input file under a new meta field named`"recognized_text"` which is an array of strings. Now using [🤖/s3/store](/docs/robots/s3-store.md)and [Assembly Variables](/docs/topics/assembly-instructions.md#assembly-variables), we append the new meta field to the end of our `path` parameters desired folder, which will rename our input file with our previously found string.
