# Launching face detection Robot for images

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our robot family: the[/image/facedetect](/docs/robots/image-facedetect.md) Robot!

By releasing this little guy, we are finally able to follow up on numerous requests for face detection functionality from our customers and that makes us very happy. 😄

The [/image/facedetect](/docs/robots/image-facedetect.md) Robot is very easy to use. You only need to feed it an image that contains human faces and it will then take care of the rest. The robot will either cut the human faces out for you and return them separately or it will return the coordinates, widths and heights of all the faces it detects alongside the input image.

This robot is still a young whippersnapper (i.e. it is still in beta) and has undergone little real world testing thus far. As goes for all of our robots, the[/image/facedetect](/docs/robots/image-facedetect.md) Robot is 100% covered by automated tests. Nevertheless, there could still be something wrong with it and face detection algorithms can always be improved. 😉
